1. Min jista' jirreġistra?
Business that operate in the hospitality sector as donors. Individuals (includes everyone) and organisations/initiatives that support individuals as receivers. Individuals can not be registered as donors for now, due to health and safety restrictions.
2. Ir-reġistrazzjoni hija bla ħlas?
Yes. Also, food will be given for free (donated).
3. Hemm limitu għal porzjonijiet mitluba mingħand ir-riċevituri?
No, for now there will be no limit, as some organisations need to request more portions to cove their beneficiaries’ needs. That’s why uses should be mindful of the portions claimed.
4. Għaliex in-negozju tiegħi jagħżel li jirreġistra?
Being part of such an initiative promotes social responsibility and branding of your business contributing in reaching your goals - certification will be offered.
5. Kemm hu diffiċli l-proċess għan-negozju tiegħi?
The process of creating your account and your inventory is very simple. If your business has surplus food regularly, it is easy to create X number of templates, once and then update the quantities available. You can update it daily, weekly or biweekly depending on your availability and level of commitment you wish to put.
6. Ismi jibqa' anonimu meta niġbor?
Yes anonymity was a very important issue for us. You will only need your unique ID to ask for your bag.
7. Xi ngħidu jekk il-borża tiegħi fiha xi ħaġa li jien allerġiku għaliha?
Surprise bags could include different products of the range of the products that the business offer. On the platform you can have access to the full menu of the restaurant to check for any allergies. If you still have doubts for specific products in your surprise bag, you can contact the business.
8. Nista' nżid prodotti wara d-data ta' skadenza fuq il-pjattaforma?
No, expired products are not legal to sell in the EU. There will be a change in the law - improving the labelling and adding "best before" dates to reduce food waste. Products with that label on can be added on the platform.
